In designing AgriHub Solution, the team faced several challenges, including ensuring ease of use for farmers with minimal digital literacy, incorporating multilingual support to cater to a global audience, and integrating multiple functionalities into the platform without overwhelming users. The platform was designed with a professional yet simple interface to foster trust and usability. Technologies such as Figma were used to create interactive wireframes and design prototypes, Tailwind CSS was utilized for a modern, responsive, and accessible design, and Material Design principles were followed to ensure consistency and familiarity for users.
The frontend of AgriHub Solution was developed using technologies like React.js for dynamic and interactive user interfaces, Tailwind CSS for rapidly building responsive designs, Swiper.js for interactive carousels and slides showcasing key features, and Axios for seamless integration with backend APIs. The development process focused on creating intuitive user flows, ensuring features like crop disease identification, direct communication portals, and e-commerce platforms were easy to navigate. Multilingual support was implemented using i18next, making the platform accessible to a diverse audience. Additionally, mobile-first design principles were followed to ensure compatibility across various devices.
The backend was developed using Django (Python) to handle robust logic for user authentication, crop disease diagnosis, and government scheme integration. PostgreSQL was employed as the database to store user profiles, crop data, expert contact details, and transaction records. REST APIs were built using the Django REST Framework to facilitate smooth data exchange between the frontend and backend. Firebase was incorporated for real-time notifications and messaging between farmers and experts. APIs were developed to handle key features, such as disease diagnosis tools, video conferencing scheduling, and e-commerce transactions. The backend also integrated with third-party APIs for secure payment processing, logistics management, and government scheme updates. Security protocols, including SSL encryption and secure user authentication, were implemented to ensure the protection of user data.
